Delivering Results for Minnesotans

Whether it is at tea parties, parades, or town hall meetings, Minnesotans – and men and women across the country – are making it clear they are tired of Washington’s addiction to borrowing and spending and bailouts and takeovers.

At home in Minnesota and in Washington, I continue to work to represent your values of limited government, personal responsibility, and economic freedom.

Chosen by my peers to serve as the Top Republican on the House Education and Labor Committee, I am fighting every day to protect the rights of our workers and small businesses. I cosponsored legislation that would have created twice the jobs at half the cost of the Democrats’ failed stimulus. I championed free trade agreements with Colombia, Panama, and South Korea, which open foreign markets to U.S. goods and create jobs. Right here at home, I hosted a jobs fair that brought job seekers together with local employers.

Washington’s appetite for taxing and spending has resulted in skyrocketing national debt that threatens our economic and national security. I led the charge to convince House Republicans to adopt a ban on earmarks, eliminating pork-barrel projects that cost taxpayers billions of dollars. I cosponsored legislation that would prevent $3.8 billion in pending tax increases scheduled to begin next year. I also voted for legislation that would cut the costs of doing business in the United States, thereby increasing domestic production by $4.6 billion.

With less than two months until the midterm elections on Nov. 2, I am hard at work, maintaining my commitment to replacing the out-of-touch liberals in Congress with conservatives who offer commonsense solutions.

It has been a great honor to serve the men and women of Minnesota’s 2nd district, and it is with great humility that I ask for your continued support.

Sincerely,
John Kline
