An enjoyable summer weekend with Minnesotans
AUGUST 24, 2008 – I was pleased to participate in "The Greatest Shooting Show on Earth" at the annual Ahlman's Shooter's Roundup in Morristown this weekend. The Shooter's Roundup included factory gun testing, exotic gun testing, a wilderness hunt, a prize hunt, an old west melodrama, a trick shooting show, and several other impressive displays. It was great to spend the afternoon visiting with fellow hunting enthusiasts at this truly unique event.
On Sunday, I was joined by almost 30 volunteers to participate in the annual Webster Harvest Festival. This year, local veterans were grand marshals of the parade. It was an honor to join so many fellow veterans and thank them for their service to our country. The Webster Harvest Festival stands alone as the only parade in Minnesota with an airplane fly-over, and those in attendance appeared to enjoy the signature event. I congratulate the entire community of Webster for a job well done.
